A Super Bowl window always has its costs, and for the Bucs, the bill comes due. $55 million over the cap, Tampa will have few resources to replenish its roster in free agency so they will be on the hunt for any bargains they can find. While the Bucs can retain most of their offense, they are missing a key piece: a quarterback. The secondary in particular could be devastated by free agency with Jamel Dean, Sean Murphy-Bunting, Mike Edwards, Logan Ryan and Keanu Neal all on expiring contracts. Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers: Week 7 Preview

The Panthers lead the all time series 24-19 but the Bucs have won four straight and six of the last seven. The longest streak in the rivalry’s history is held by the Panthers who won seven straight from 2013-2016. Last season against the Panthers, Brady had 558 passing yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions as the Bucs outscored Carolina 73-23 in those two games. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Buccaneers are eleven point road favorites against the Panthers with an over/under of 39.5. NFL Week 7 Game Analysis: Carolina dominates Tampa Bay 21-3

In an absolutely pathetic performance, the Bucs were routed by the Carolina Panthers 21-3 on Sunday at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC. An unbelievable drop by Mike Evans on a no-doubt touchdown to start the game, set the tone for a miserable day of football for Tampa Bay. Unfortunately, none of those completions resulted in a touchdown, as the Buccaneer offense failed miserably all day long. With the offense struggling mightily during the first six games, a beautifully executed bomb to open week seven was precisely what this team needed. Lavonte David led the Bucs with 7 total tackles, and lineman Vita Vea had the Bucs lone sack of the day along with four other tackles.

Gil Arcia: A shock for the bay areas“The Bucs offense has not been what anyone has imagined it would be in 2023. Going up against the league’s best defense this Sunday in the 49ers, it’s easy to say the Buccaneers will be unable to move the football. The 49ers defense is dominant, and while every team has off days, the Bucs offense has seen many more of those than this San Fran unit. Absolutely, Tampa’s defense is very good in its own right and they’re playing a rookie seventh round pick, and Tom Brady is still Tom Brady. I don’t see Brock Purdy outplaying Tom Brady, but I do think the 49ers defense will shut down the Bucs offense.

5 takeaways from Colts' 19-10 loss to the Titans

The streak of not winning the AFC South since 2014 looks like it will be kept alive for the Indianapolis Colts (3-3-1) after losing for the fifth straight time to the Tennessee Titans. This is such a significant loss this early in the season because their playoff hopes will likely have to be through a wildcard berth. Derrick Henry did Derrick Henry things throughout the game but they didn’t give up a touchdown and held the Titans offense to 12 points.
