CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cleveland Cavaliers got the last word. Following Dillon Brooks’ missed layup at the 5:48 mark of the third quarter, Cavaliers All-Star Donovan Mitchell pulled down the rebound. Taking exception, Mitchell, who has missed time recently with a groin injury, threw the ball and hit Brooks in the back. Cleveland led 81-76 at the time -- and pulled away, outscoring mouthy Memphis 47-37 following the incident. Mitchell had just six points on 2 of 11 from the field before his ejection.

The Tarblooders captured yet another league title with a 54-0 rout of John Hay in the Senate League championship game on Friday afternoon at Robert Bump Taylor Field. Glenville’s last loss on the football field in the Senate League came against the East Tech Scarabs on Nov. 8, 1997 – Ted Ginn Sr.’s first year at the helm of the program. The Tarblooders (9-0, 6-0 Senate) did not allow a single point in league play this season, outscoring their opponents, 282-0.
