The Rising Stars event is Feb. 17, the first night of the three-night All-Star weekend. All-Star Saturday — featuring the 3-point contest, dunk contest and skills competition — takes center stage the next night, followed by the 72nd All-Star Game on Sunday.

California storm: Atmospheric river unleashes flooding, mudslides, strong winds

Pittsburgh Steelers pay tribute to Damar Hamlin, deliver toys in his hometown

Steelers players showed their love and support for Pittsburgh native Damar Hamlin in an extra special way this weekend. Players delivered toys, books and teaching supplies to Kelly & Nina’s Daycare, where the Buffalo Bills safety hosts an annual toy drive. Hamlin adopted the McKees Rocks, Pa. daycare center in his hometown as his pet project when he played at the University of Pittsburgh, according to the Steelers. "It's just a way that we can give back," said cornerback Levi Wallace, who played with Hamlin in Buffalo in 2021. 10 UCLA blew an 18-point lead in the second half before rallying to beat crosstown rival Southern California 60-58 on Thursday night for the Bruins’ 11th straight victory. Reese Dixon-Waters scored 12 of his 16 points in the second half to lead the Trojans (11-5, 3-2). Trailing by 18, the Trojans outscored the Bruins 19-6 to open the second half. Bona had the defensive play of the second half, blocking Malik Thomas on a dunk. UCLA: The Bruins continue on a winning streak that began after losses to ranked Illinois and Baylor at Las Vegas in November.

Harvey Weinstein trial: Jennifer Siebel Newsom to return to witness stand

Gavin Newsom's wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, is expected to return to the witness stand in the Harvey Weinstein sexual-assault trial Tuesday -- one day after she broke down in tears repeatedly as she testified the former film producer raped and sexually assaulted her 17 years ago. Siebel Newsom -- who was referred to in court only as "Jane Doe #4" but has been publicly identified by her attorney -- told jurors she felt like Weinstein had "taken a piece of me."
