The crew onboard a Qantas flight that landed safely after issuing a mayday alert are being praised for the way they handled a "rare" but critical situation. One passenger disembarking the plane told Sky News Australia's Gabriella Power that the pilot informed the cabin of an engine problem when the plane was on the tarmac. A Qantas spokesperson said the aircraft "experienced an issue with one of its engines about an hour from its destination".
