Patrick Reed is seeking a billion dollars in damages after filing another defamation lawsuit against a string of journalists and media outlets. This follows the $750 million lawsuit against pundit Brandel Chamblee and the Golf Channel, originally filed in August and then resubmitted to add more journalists and Golfweek. Reed’s lawyer, Larry Klayman, accuses the latest defendants of defamation, injurious falsehood and tortious interference, as well as conspiring with the PGA Tour because of its fear of competition from LIV Golf.
