Jets Season Ticket Member Advisory Council brings fans to the table

In acknowledgment of that community importance, and to gain valuable insight from a group of people who represent the voice of the fans, the Jets selected and assembled their inaugural Season Ticket Member Advisory Council for the 2022-23 season from hundreds of applications. The Advisory Council of 13 met with Jets business leaders for an introductory meeting in late September, and then convened for their first official meeting on Oct. 5. "I grew up in the Jets 1.0 era, loved the Jets, and graduated from high school the year we lost them," noted Advisory Council Member Scott Marohn. 'Nothing Fazes' Tyler Brennan | PROSPECT WATCH

"There's a lot of Netflix," says Brennan, of how to pass the time, "…I always download first, the Wifi can (be spotty)." It's a long journey to get to the NHL but Tyler Brennan has already put serious milage on his odometer. Brennan stopped 21 of 22 shots in a 5-1 win over the Giants in the first game of that 10-hour trip. "There's a lot of back-to-back games," explains Brennan, "a lot of four- or five games in six nights…it's good to push each other." Given the circumstances, playing with two other NHL prospects while still an amateur, will help Brennan before he gets to the pros.

Sabres add depth on defense with Jokiharju, Samuelsson absent

SEATTLE - Kale Clague joined the Sabres for practice at Climate Pledge Arena on Monday, the latest addition on defense following recent injuries to Henri Jokiharju and Mattias Samuelsson. With Jokiharju and Samuelsson absent, one of Clague or Lawrence Pilut will make his Sabres debut in the road trip finale against the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday. The two defensemen rotated on a pair with Casey Fitzgerald during practice, while Ilya Lyubushkin filled in for Samuelsson alongside Rasmus Dahlin. Pilut played 46 games in two seasons with the Sabres from 2018 to 2020 before spending the past two years in the KHL. Granato expressed confidence in the players on the Sabres' defense corps - all of whom are 25 or younger, save for Pilut (26) and Lyubushkin (28) - to step into bigger roles while Jokiharju and Samuelsson recover.

"We haven't had a night like that in the first period," Panthers head coach Paul Maurice said. - The Panthers led the Stars 43-29 in shots on goal and 31-24 in scoring chances.

Marchand makes season debut for Bruins against Red Wings

BOSTON -- Brad Marchand made his season debut for the Boston Bruins against the Detroit Red Wings at TD Garden on Thursday, weeks ahead of schedule after having double hip surgery last spring. Bruins coach Jim Montgomery said Marchand would play Thursday one day after saying he did not expect him to. I'm excited to coach him and see the energy and the work ethic that he's going to bring to the Bruins tonight." Marchand said he was unclear what to expect from himself in his season debut. Marchand acknowledged that the Bruins' success (6-1-0) has helped him take his time, knowing they are focused on the long-term goals, including the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
