Tonganoxie High boys wrestling held its own at Saturday’s Herb Irgens Invitational in Ida Grove, Iowa. Don Bosco (Iowa) won the meet with 271 points. The THS junior moved to 18-5 after defeating Don Bosco senior Jacob Thiry (24-11) by a 5-2 decision. The THS senior lost to Don Bosco senior Jared Thiry (30-3) by technical fall, 25-10 in the 220 championship. He placed fourth after losing to Don Bosco junior Kaiden Knaack (26-5) by fall in the first period (1:34).
