Three business owners on the edge of London fear the ULEZ expansion could destroy their businesses. In a bid to lower emissions and improve the quality of air the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan announced the expansion of ULEZ across all London boroughs from August this year. [However] the ULEZ expansion zone will definitely have an impact on my business, as many of my customers come from anywhere in Essex and surrounding areas. Michael said: "The Mayor in Manchester got a hold on a similar scheme, why can't our Mayor [Sadiq Khan] do that here?" But the Mayor's own impact assessment suggests that air quality improvements in Havering from extending ULEZ will be incredibly small.
