Hafiz Mahfouz (Arabic: حافظ محفوظ)is an Arab poet 26 and novelist born in Qasr al-Saf on the Tunisian coast in 1965, a professor of Arabic language and literature.[1][2]
Career
He received several Arab and Tunisian awards, including the Golden Kumar Award for the best Tunisian novel for his 1999 novel "The Guardian of Angels" and his 2006[3] novel "Nautical." Some of his work was translated into French and English and he wrote many critical articles about his creative experience and produced a collection of poetry and fiction books. He recently re-founded the children's magazine Irfan.
Activity
One of the signatories in May 2021 was a statement issued by Tunisian intellectuals affirming their full solidarity and support for the Palestinian people's struggle against the practices of the Israeli occupation army.[4]
